Everything you need to plan your journey to the New Generation Leaders Summit in Bangkok, 23 to 25 February 2027.

Do I need a visa?

It depends on your passport. Thailand allows citizens of many countries to enter without a visa for short stays, while others must apply for a visa before travelling, usually online through Thailand's official e-Visa service. Rules change, so check the current requirement for your nationality on the official Thai e-Visa website or with the Royal Thai Embassy or Consulate in your country as soon as you apply.

Start early. Some visa applications take several weeks. Do not book non-refundable flights until your visa is granted, unless your passport is visa-exempt.

Invitation letter

Every confirmed delegate receives an official invitation letter from the organisers, normally within five working days of confirmation. To prepare it, we will ask you by email for your full name exactly as it appears in your passport, your passport number, your nationality and your date of birth. The letter supports your visa application; it cannot guarantee it.

If your visa is refused despite our letter, see our Fees and Refund Policy.

Before you fly

  • Your passport must be valid for at least six months from your date of arrival in Thailand.
  • Thailand asks arriving visitors to complete a digital arrival card online before travelling. Check the current requirement with your airline or the Thai immigration authorities before you fly.
  • Buy travel and medical insurance that covers the whole of your trip.
  • Send us your flight details once booked, so we can arrange your airport transfer.

Arriving in Bangkok

Bangkok has two international airports. Most long-haul flights arrive at Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK); many low-cost airlines use Don Mueang Airport (DMK). Delegates arriving at either airport on the official arrival day, 22 February 2027, will be met and taken to the summit hotel. The venue and hotel will be announced to confirmed delegates in advance.

Good to know

  • Weather: late February is hot and dry in Bangkok, typically 25 to 34°C. Bring light clothing, and a jacket for air-conditioned rooms.
  • Dress code: business or smart casual for summit sessions; national dress is very welcome at the cultural evening and closing gala. Cover your shoulders and knees when visiting temples.
  • Money: the local currency is the Thai baht (THB). Cards are widely accepted in the city, and ATMs are easy to find.
  • Power: Thailand uses 220V, with type A, B, C and O sockets. A universal adaptor is the easiest choice.
